Objective Mach 10 ? US Air Force Break World Speed Record for a Maglev Rocket: 633 mph !
Test Squadron's magnetically levitated sled system, or MagLev, broke a world record. The rocket propelled sled zipped down the 2,100 foot track at 633 miles per hour.
Hight speed Maglev system is important for the US Air Force because it allows the test on ground of very fast systems, without soil's vibrations that could affects the tests or destroy the tested material.
