The McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender is a refueling aircraft in service in the United States Air Force and derived from the DC-10 airliner. The KC-10 is the second McDonnell Douglas transport aircraft to be selected consecutively by the USAF following the DC-9.
The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker (Model 717) is a refueling aircraft developed in the 1950s from the Boeing 367-80 prototype which will also give birth to the Model 707
