Launched as part of the Joint Strike Fighter program established between 1993 and 1994 with the idea to equip with the same machine three air components of the US military (Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps), the F-35 proceeds from the financing and implementation by a dozen NATO countries. This aircraft should be produced to more than 2 000 copies and distributed mainly in the United States, Canada and the UK.
